About Me

A brief introduction about my self

Kyd Tantano Masong

TECHNOLOGY MENTOR AND DEVELOPER

Hi, I'm Kyd Tantano Masong, a dedicated computer science teacher and web developer with a passion for creating innovative educational resources. With over 27 years of experience in integrating technology into the classroom, I've been committed to enhancing the learning experience for students of all ages. I thrive on creating engaging and interactive content, exploring new technologies, and sharing knowledge with fellow educators and learners alike."

YEAR 2002

The Starting Out

Me and My Interest

On May 27, 2002, I took a step that would profoundly shape my life and career—I became a computer teacher at Assumption College Samutprakarn. From the moment I entered the classroom, I knew that integrating technology into education was more than just a job; it was a calling. I realized that technology held the power to transform how we teach and learn, and I was determined to be part of that transformation.

Early on, I noticed a gap. While there were many talented developers out there creating amazing tools, these resources weren't always easily accessible or understandable for educators and students. This realization sparked a passion in me—a drive to bridge that gap and make these tools more accessible to everyone in the educational community.

As an educator, I became a curator of sorts, gathering a growing collection of websites and interactive resources that could enrich the classroom experience. I started embedding these resources on my own website, turning it into a hub where teachers, mentors, and educators could explore and integrate them into their teaching. But my mission didn’t stop there—I also created a dedicated web portal for my students, designed to make their search for interactive tools as simple and enjoyable as possible. This wasn’t just a blog; it was a living resource tailored to the needs of the learners I was privileged to teach.

YEAR 2004 - 2016

Building the hub and growing the platform

My Journey in Teaching

My passion for collecting and sharing digital resources began in 2002, but it was in 2004 that I decided to take it a step further. I launched my first domain, www.ict-click.com, a space dedicated solely to my students. What started as a small project quickly grew; students eagerly used the site, and educators from around the world began visiting the portal as well.

In 2016, recognizing the growing impact of my work, I rebranded. I renamed the portfolio ICT Click Digital Media and transitioned the domain from .com to .net. This change reflected my ongoing commitment to providing a diverse range of engaging materials, which I continued to collect and develop during my free time.

YEAR 2019

Adapting to Change

Response to COVID-19

Then came 2019, and with it, the unexpected challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. The sudden shift to remote learning left many educators, mentors, and students struggling to access timely and effective learning materials. In response, I dedicated myself to expanding ICT Click Digital Media, creating distinct portals—"ICT Click Digital Media | Educator" and "ICT Click Digital Media | Learners". The latter was purposefully named to be memorable and accessible, even for the youngest learners like those in Kindergarten 3, who were just beginning their educational journeys.

YEAR 2023

Innovating for the Future

Expanding Horizons in 2023

As my work grew, so did my vision. By 2023, I launched a new platform: "ICT Click Digital Media", aimed at connecting young developers and tech enthusiasts. This wasn't just about curating resources anymore—it was about creating them, too. I began developing my own interactive tools using a variety of web development technologies, including HTML5, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, H5P, Nearpod, LearningApps, Scratch, and more.

My journey in the world of technology started with a deep-seated interest in computer science, but it has evolved into something much greater—a lifelong mission to inspire the next generation of tech enthusiasts, bridge the gap between technology and education, and continually push the boundaries of what's possible in the digital world.
